Hi , I’m so happy you’re here!

I'm a Colorado photographer drawn to people, places, homes, and wild things. From wildlife and landscapes to real estate and lifestyle portraits, I've never met a moment I didn't want to photograph.

I love capturing things as they really are. The character of a home, the quiet joy between two people, the way sunlight moves across a mountain, or a fleeting moment with wildlife that lasts a few seconds. To me, photography is about creating a little window back into a moment: something you can return to long after it's passed.

My love for photography started with disposable cameras. As a kid, I was fascinated by the whole process of snapping tiny pieces of everyday life, getting the film developed, and suddenly having a tangible glimpse into the past. I was hooked!

I got my first point-and-shoot camera as a tween, and I don't think I've ever really been without a camera since. At 19, I bought my first DSLR and turned my love of photography into a little side business while I put myself through college. I photographed engagements, families, seniors, and even a wonderfully '70s-inspired vintage wedding.

Then life happened.

There were different careers, new adventures, traveling, getting married, moving states, having a baby, and nearly six full years spent being a stay-at-home mama. And somewhere along the way, I realized.. I missed this.

So, I dusted off the ol' Canon (which very quickly turned into a full camera upgrade), stepped back behind the lens, and found my way back to the thing that has always made me feel most like myself.

These days, you'll find me chasing good light, exploring Colorado, photographing beautiful spaces, and stopping far too often because there's a bird, animal, mountain, or little moment that absolutely needs to be captured.

Thanks for being here,

Dakota
