I’m Dakota - a wife, mama, and Colorado photographer drawn to people, places, homes, and wild things. I love capturing things as they really are, from the character of a home to the quiet joy between two people, the way sunlight moves across a mountain, or a fleeting moment with wildlife.

My love for photography started with disposable cameras as a kid. I was fascinated by capturing little pieces of everyday life and getting to hold those memories in my hands. I’ve hardly been without a camera since!

At 19, I bought my first DSLR and turned my love of photography into a little side business while putting myself through college. Then life happened. Different careers, new adventures, moving states, getting married, and becoming a mama. Nearly six years into being a stay-at-home mom, I realized just how much I missed it.

So, I dusted off the ol’ Canon (which very quickly turned into a camera upgrade) and found my way back to the thing that has always made me feel most like myself.

These days, you’ll find me chasing good light, exploring Colorado, photographing beautiful homes and businesses, and stopping far too often because there’s a bird, mountain, or little moment that absolutely needs to be captured.

Whether I’m photographing a home ready for its next chapter, helping a small business owner tell their story, or capturing the wild beauty of Colorado, my goal is always the same: to create thoughtful images that feel true to the people, places, and moments in front of my lens.
